Lisa Smedman

Lisa Smedman (* 1959 in North Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian fantasy - and science fiction - writer and newspaper editor .

biography

Lisa Smedman was born in 1959 and grew up in North Vancouver , British Columbia . She studied anthropology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and later journalism at Langara College . Since graduating with a degree in journalism, Smedman has worked as an editor for various newspapers in the Vancouver area .

She also works as a writer: In 1981, Smedman got to know the pen and paper role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons , for which she began to write stories. From 1993 she wrote for TSR Inc. Smedman became known internationally in 2004 with the novel Destruction (OT: Extinction ) from the Forgotten Reiche series War of the Spider Queen . She is also known as the author of several Shadowrun novels.

Smedman lives and works in the greater Vancouver area.
