Lieselotte Ahnert

Lieselotte Ahnert (born November 5, 1951 in Gräfenroda ) is a German psychologist and professor of developmental psychology who taught at the University of Vienna until 2017 . She is considered an expert in early attachment.

education

Lieselotte Ahnert received her diploma in psychology from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 1974 (Institute for Psychology). She received her doctorate there in 1982. She received the specialist recognition as a psychologist with additional training in medicine in 1989. In 2000 , she qualified as a professor at the chair for developmental psychology at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena .

Professional background

From 1974 to 1979 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Psychology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Afterwards she was the head psychologist of the crèche association of the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg until 1982. From 1982 she was senior research assistant at the Institute for Hygiene of Children and Adolescents (IHKJ) Berlin; she headed the “Early Socialization” working group with research into the developmental consequences of day care outside the family .

She was visiting professor at the Institute for Psychology / Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Leipzig until 1990. Chairwoman of the Interdisciplinary Center for Applied Socialization Research e. She was V. Berlin from 1991 to 2001. In 2000 she was an exchange scientist in Washington. From 2001 to 2006 she was a private lecturer at the Free University of Berlin .

Lieselotte Ahnert worked from 1996 to 1999 as an exchange scientist at the NICHD (Washington, Bethesda, USA) in the Department of Social & Emotional Development. Repeated residencies have also taken her to universities in Maryland, Chicago, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

From 2008 Lieselotte Ahnert was a professor at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna.
