Liselotte Jünger
Liselotte Jünger , née Bäuerle (born May 20, 1917 in Heilbronn , † August 31, 2010 in Überlingen ), was a German German scholar, historian and lecturer.
Life
Liselotte Bäuerle first studied to become a teacher in Darmstadt, then since 1938 the subjects history, German and archeology at the universities of Berlin and Giessen. In 1943 she received her doctorate with a dissertation on the dialect poet Sebastian Sailer . In 1940 she married Wolf Lohrer, who died on the Eastern Front in 1941. In 1943, Bäuerle joined Cotta'sche Verlagbuchhandlung as an archivist , whose archive formed the basis for the German Literature Archive in Marbach, which was founded in 1955 . She worked there from 1952 to 1962, under whose roof she built the Cotta archive through the Cotta manuscript collection donated by the Stuttgarter Zeitung . She also wrote a publishing history and an inventory archive.
After her marriage to the writer Ernst Jünger in 1962, she devoted herself to her husband's work as a lecturer. In his autobiographical work, Jünger uses her nickname to refer to her as “the little bull”.
