Lisi or Purple Haze (* 1983 in Berlin ; actually Regina Marlies Chukwuedo ) is a German rapper.

biography

Lisi grew up in Berlin as the child of a German and a Nigerian and has four siblings.

She made her first contact with the music scene at the age of seventeen when she recorded the EP entitled "Purple Haze" on the record label Raw Zone . Purple Haze represents the addicting, mesmerizing and regal with deep, direct and metaphorical themes. From then on Lisi adopted this designation as an addition to her artist name. After the releases of the album "Wild" and the song "Vicky Vo (Fotzen)", she left the Raw Zone label.

In 2000 Lisi met the rapper and hip-hop producer Afrob at the Highnachten Jam , with whom she contributed the pieces “Es geht hoch” and “Du bist es nicht” for his album Hammer in 2005 .

Lisi has since been signed by the record label Four Music and was able to take part in the Fantastischen Vier tour .

Lisi's second album Eine wie kein was released in 2006. It features a number of renowned artists from the hip-hop scene. Lisi shows herself to be very versatile on this record, in the pieces “Payback” and “Doesn't interest me” she reckons with critics and opponents, the ballad “I die for you” is primarily intended to appeal to young girls.

In 2007 Lisi contributed the title song Berlin to Bettina Blümner's film Prinzessinnenbad . This enabled the musician to gain notoriety outside of the hip-hop scene.

After a two-year absence from the business, Lisi was back in 2009 as a feature part in two songs on Afrob's new album “The Last of His Kind”.
