Lissy Lind , also Lissi Lind and Lizzy Lind , (* October 3, 1884 as Margarethe Elisabeth Flach in Dresden , † before October 1938 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

Lissy Flach was born in 1884 as the illegitimate child of Anna Marie Emilie Flach. Her mother married the architect and building officer Georg Gottfried Krüger on March 21, 1885, who recognized Lissy as his daughter in the same year.

The current Lissy Krüger made her debut in 1908 at the Theater von Gera and came to Berlin via Dresden, Stettin and Königsberg in 1911. There she was a theater actress; for her career in the young film medium, which began in 1912, she called herself "Lissy Lind". On June 23, 1914, she married the actor and director Siegfried Philippi .

Lind acted in the lead roles in the silent film, her husband was a director several times. From around 1921 she concentrated again mainly on stage work. Since her husband was of Jewish origin, she was hardly employed after 1933. She may have died by suicide.
