List of ancient Iranian tribes
The list of ancient Iranian tribes includes the Iranian-speaking peoples and tribes known from ancient times. Iran has always been a multiethnic country, which is essentially composed of Assyrians (Turans), Persians, Medes, Parthians, Saks and Scythians, Kurds and an indigenous Iranian population. The affiliation of some tribes and peoples to the Iranian peoples is often not guaranteed. So this can only be viewed as a rough direction and will certainly change depending on the findings.
