town hall In 1921 Wemmetsweiler and Heiligenwald became the mayor's office of Wemmetsweiler. Since there were no administrative buildings before, a town hall had to be built. In the years 1925 to 1927, a representative building in the neoclassical style was built according to designs by district architect Otto Eberbach. The building, which has an almost square floor plan, is built on a slope sloping towards the southwest, so that a rusticated basement becomes increasingly visible with the sloping slope. The main entrance of the two-storey building is located in the south facade in a semicircular central projection with a front floor and dome. The high windows on the ground floor are crowned with elaborate semicircular ornaments that extend into the cornice of the upper floor. A central projection with a triangular gable was integrated in the east facade. At the southeast corner there is an opening with a balcony and entrance on the ground floor. This is framed with an aedicule . Wemmetsweiler Town Hall 01 2013-04-01.JPG
