In the list of architectural monuments in Illingen , all architectural monuments of the Saarland municipality of Illingen and its districts are listed. The basis is the publication of the state monuments list in the Saarland official gazette of December 22, 2004 and the current sub-monuments list of the Neunkirchen district in the version of August 9, 2017.

Catholic Church of St. Maria Magdalena | St. Maria Magdalena was built in 1910/11 according to plans by the architect Wilhelm Hector in the neo-Romanesque style. The interior of the basilica is dominated by ribbed vaults. The central and side aisles are separated by arcades. In the small choir with a semicircular apse there is a celebration and a high altar. The apse is painted with wall paintings. |

St. Stephan | The oldest part of the church is the choir tower from the 13th century. The nave was built from 1789 to 1791 based on designs by Peter Reheis . The baroque hall is covered with a flat ceiling with a hollow. In the semicircular choir (outside with ⅝-end) stands a gilded high altar from the 17th century. | |

Glass windows (1961/62) and ceramic murals (1962 and 1967) | 1961, 1962 and 1967 by György Lehoczky . The glass windows were removed after the Höll company in Illingen ceased operations (2001) and reinstalled at the new company headquarters in Saarbrücken. The two murals used to be in the company canteen or in the company's administration building and were expanded after the company closed down and after a fire in 2008. After cleaning, the two murals were reinstalled in the renovated bridal tower in Illingen in 2018. | |

Kerpen Castle | The time when the Wasserburg Kerpen was built is unknown, it was first mentioned in 1359. The castle was destroyed in the Thirty Years War, but restored shortly afterwards. In 1677 the castle was destroyed again by French troops and only fully rebuilt in the 18th century. From 1830 the facility fell into disrepair because it served as a quarry. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Illingen municipality acquired the property and began renovating it. Parts of the surrounding walls and two towers of the main castle have been preserved, as well as the castle chapel and the small ballroom. The gatehouse , which was built in 1605, has been preserved from the outer bailey. | |

town hall | The historic town hall was built by Ludwig Israel in 1876/77 and expanded by Otto Eberbach from 1911/12. The oldest part of the town hall is the unplastered part of the building made of sandstone with a portal in a risalit. Eberbach added an extension to the Wilhelmine old building, which is more heavily ornamented and decorated and has a half-timbered dwelling. Changes were made in the style of the time in the 1930s. Dark panels were attached to the walls and the ceiling was painted over in the rustic oak style. Comprehensive renovations were initiated in 1973/74. In 2001, the historic painting of the meeting room was exposed again. Historicizing and rustic elements have been removed. | |

Rectory, parish barn, well with well room | The rectory is a two-storey plastered building with a half-hip roof that was built in 1731 by Gregor Mäs. A cornice separates the first and second floors. Six window axes are integrated in the long sides, three in the gable ends. A barn with a round arch is attached to the residential building. | |

Jewish Cemetery | The cemetery, which was laid out in 1747, was expanded in 1905 and 1923. The dead of the Jewish communities of Neunkirchen and Ottweiler were also buried here until 1831. In 1938 the cemetery was destroyed, the tombstones cleared the following year and the property was bought by the Illingen community. In 1949 the cemetery was restored and a memorial was erected. |

A choir was added, the tower was raised, a sacristy was built and the interior was redesigned. You enter the hall building through a side portal in the tower, which is on the gable side of the nave. Catholic Church of St. Josef , 1890–95 by Reinhold Wirtz (individual monument) | St. Josef was built in the neo-Gothic style between 1888 and 1895 according to designs by the cathedral builder Reinhold Wirtz. The narrow basilica has only small round windows in the upper storeys. The portal is entered via the high, stepped west tower. The central and side aisles have ribbed vaults and are separated by pointed arches on columns. A neo-Gothic high altar by the Trier sculptor Louis Kiefer stands in the choir ending in ⅝. |

Catholic Church of St. Laurentius | The church was built in the neo-baroque style in 1927/28 according to plans by district building officer Wilhelm Josef Ertz and master builder Julius Wirtz. The low tower is located above the gable of the entrance portal. The windows are designed with segmental arches and framed with sandstone embrasures. The five-sided choir is vaulted by a dome with a ceiling painting. The central nave is spanned by a barrel vault, the ceilings of the side aisles are flat and stuccoed. The middle and side aisles are separated by round columns that support an entablature. |

The interior of the pseudo-basilica is defined by a wall-filling picture at the end of the rectangular choir. The sandstone building has tall and narrow windows. The square tower stands next to the entrance facade. The two-part tip of the tower hood is striking. | |
