  • December 17, 1858: Wilhelm Friedrich Christian Ludwig von Meding (1785–1868), Privy Councilor, First Secretary of the Justice Chancellery in Güstrow (on the 50th anniversary of his career)
  • April 10, 1874: Adolf Türk (1795–1880), cathedral preacher (on leaving office)
  • September 30, 1879: Karl von Monroy (1808–1894), President of the Supreme Court (when leaving the judiciary as a result of the new court system)

  • October 1, 2010 (posthumously): Ernst Barlach (1870–1938), painter and sculptor (with his world-class work he made the city known beyond the national borders)
  • 2014 (posthumously): John Brinckman (1814–1870), Niederdt. Poet, storyteller and lyric poet
  • December 8, 2018: Folker Hachtmann (1933–2020), Pastor a. D., as a friend and promoter of the ideal of peaceful coexistence between people of different faiths and views, he has made a special contribution to coming to terms with Güstrow's Jewish history.
