    Royal Prussian first lieutenant, doctor
    Awarded in 1851
    Bertrand, who came from Bonn, was probably a spa guest in Kronberg several times and treated patients during this time. At the request of the council member Johann Ellenberger, he was given honorary citizenship in recognition of his self-sacrificing service to the local people.
  2. Jacques Reiss (born March 4, 1807 in Frankfurt am Main, † March 17, 1887 in Frankfurt am Main)

    In 1863, Reiß acquired the site of the former cold water sanatorium in Kronberg and built Villa Schönbusch here as a family home. At his instigation, the Cronberger Eisenbahngesellschaft was founded to build a rail link between Rödelheim and Kronberg. He supported the local poor fund with considerable donations.

    Osterrieth discovered a mineral spring on excursions on the Mammolshain slope (see also Kronthal Spring Park ). With their water he built up a commercial distribution and built a health resort (on Mammolshain district). In 1858 he settled in a villa below Kronberg Castle. The city awarded him honorary citizenship for his work alongside Jacques Reiss in building the Cronberger Railway.
  4. Wilhelm Bernhard Bonn (born March 16, 1843 in Frankfurt am Main; † October 21, 1910 in Kronberg im Taunus), as well as his brothers Philipp Bonn , Leopold Bonn and Moritz Bonn

    In 1891, together with his brothers Philipp and Leopold, Bonn founded the Baruch and Betty Bonn'sche pension house of the Cronberg community , named after his parents, which welcomed the poor, the sick and the elderly. Ten years later he founded the Association for Holiday Colonies for Poor and Sick Schoolchildren and had a rest home built in Schönberg for Frankfurt students.

    Burger had settled permanently in Kronberg at the end of the 1850s. The Kronberg painter colony developed around his house and studio, built in 1876/77. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, the city of Kronberg made him an honorary citizen.
  6. Adolf Schreyer (born July 9, 1828 in Frankfurt am Main; † July 29, 1899 in Kronberg im Taunus)

    The horse painter Schreyer lived permanently in Kronberg from 1870/71. After donating fire extinguishers to the local volunteer fire brigade, they made him an honorary member. The city gave him honorary citizenship for his services to fire fighting and the poor.

    The Kannengießer, who came from the Ruhr area, had expanded his coal wholesale business into a consortium of mining companies operating throughout the Reich. After his appointment to the Commerce Council, he settled in Wiesbaden. In Kronberg he generously sponsored the erection of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Monument in 1901. The city thanked him for his commitment by making him an honorary citizen.

    As the district administrator of the Obertaunus district in Bad Homburg, he significantly promoted the construction of the hospital in Kronberg, which opened in 1899. He suggested the erection of the Kaiser Friedrich monument and was the initiator of the foundation of the non-profit building cooperative Kronberg-Schönberg , which created inexpensive living space for the socially disadvantaged.

    Jamin served as mayor of Kronberg for over forty years from 1864 to 1905. During his tenure, the place developed into a preferred villa suburb of neighboring Frankfurt. He actively supported the connection of the place to the railway network, ran the construction of a new elementary school and an efficient water supply and disposal network. When he left office, the city made him an honorary citizen.

    Schulte, previously head of the city council, took over the office of mayor from Karl Eugen Pietsch, who died in the war, and remained in office on an honorary basis until 1921. He was granted honorary citizenship for his great services, which he had earned during the difficult war and occupation times.
