Herbert Alsheimer

Herbert Alsheimer (born February 4, 1931 in Frankfurt am Main ; † March 11, 2013 in Kronberg - Oberhöchstadt ) was a German university professor , Hessian local politician and author.

Life

Herbert Alsheimer spent his childhood and youth in Frankfurt am Main, placed at the Goethe-Gymnasium in 1951 a high school and studied at the University of Goethe Johann Wolfgang economics . In 1959 he received his doctorate as an employee of the chair for banking management under Karl Friedrich Hagenmüller on profit taxation and the tax balance sheet of credit institutions . In 1966 the Hessian minister of education appointed him director of the state higher business school. As founding dean, he set up the economics department of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in 1970 . There he taught as a professor for taxation and auditing.

From 1972 to 1997 he was a member of the district council of the Hochtaunuskreis for the CDU , from 1977 to 1981 chairman of the school committee and from 1985 to 1991 and from 1992 to 1995 chairman of the main and finance committee.

From 1991 to 2006 he was a member of the administrative board of Taunus Sparkasse , where he was chairman of the audit committee.

He published on topics of accounting law, economic and church history.
