Condon | Built in 1903 in the center of Condon, this Italianate-style shop is typical of the retail trade that supplied the ranches and farms in eastern Oregon at the beginning of the 20th century. The early owners, Simon Bradbury Barker (owner 1903-1918) and James Dunn Burns (owner 1926-1986) were leaders in Gilliam County's economics and politics, and Barker became a prominent businessman throughout the state. | |
