Siletz From 1855 the US Army forcibly relocated over 2,600 people from the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians to the Siletz Reservation . The government set up an Indian agency on site in 1847 (since 1946: Siletz, Oregon) . The number fell to 600 within 30 years. The agency was closed in 1925. There were numerous buildings on Government Hill that year, only a few of which have survived.
