The table contains all standard-gauge lines built up to 1968 in the area of today's Saarland according to EBO (Railway Construction and Operating Regulations) , sorted by construction date. Sections of the route (outside of Saarland are in brackets), but listed in full. Lines that are no longer in use today (some no longer exist and / or have been de-dedicated) are highlighted in gray. If the route number is missing, the route is or was not subject to the EBO, as is the case with private railways, for example, or the route had already been de-dedicated before the EBO came into force (May 1905).
