List of governors of Mizoram

The following table lists the governors of Mizoram with their respective terms of office. With the reorganization of northeast India after the Bangladesh War , Mizoram was detached from the state of Assam on January 21, 1972 as an independent union territory . In the first transition months him stood a Chief Commissioner before then a lieutenant governor (lieutenant governor). Since February 20, 1987 Mizoram has the status of a state with governor.
