List of international women's champions (awarded 1951 to 1960)
The list of International Women's Masters (awarded 1951 to 1960) lists all female chess players who received the title of International Women's Masters (WIM) from the World Chess Federation FIDE between 1951 and 1960 .
In March 2019, four of the 26 players honored in these years are still alive. Eleven of the 26 players later achieved the title of Women's Grandmaster , Krystyna Radzikowska (then Krystyna Holuj) was later awarded the title of Honorary Women's Grandmaster .
Legend
The table contains the following information:
- Name : Give the name of the player.
- Year : The year in which the player was awarded the WIM title.
- Country : States the country for which the player was eligible to play at the time the title was awarded.
- Life data : states the year of birth and possibly the year of death of the player.
- WGM : Indicates the year of the award for players who were later named women's grandmasters.
- HWGM : Indicates the year of the award for players who were later named Honorary Grand Master of Women.
- Other associations : For players who were sooner or later eligible to play for at least one other association, specifies these associations with the periods of entitlement to play (if known). Changes to a successor state are taken into account if the player was still active in chess at that time.
