Květa Eretová , married Jeništová , (born October 21, 1926 in Prague ; † January 8, 2021 there ) was a Czech chess master .

Career

Eretová received the title of Women's Chess Grandmaster (WGM) in 1986 .

Eretová has played twice in tournaments candidates of women in Plovdiv (1959) and in Sukhumi (1964) and once in Interzonal of 1979 in Rio de Janeiro (1979). In all of these tournaments she has achieved a place in the midfield. Eretová won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 2. – 3. Place at the women's tournament in Halle (1971), shared 2nd place at the women's tournament in Moscow (1971), shared 2nd place at the women's tournament in Emmen (1971), 2nd place at the women's tournament in Halle (1978) and 3rd to 4th place. Place at the women's tournament in Halle (1983).

For Czechoslovakia she played five times in the women's chess Olympiad : 1957 , 1966 , 1969 , 1972 and 1974 , with 32.5 points from 50 games. In 1957 she won the individual silver medal on the second board, in 1969 she won the bronze medal both with the team and in the individual competition on the second board. As a ten-time women's champion in Czechoslovakia, she is the record holder.

Eretová had not played an Elo-rated game after the 2007/08 Czech team championship.
