Chess Olympiad 1966 (women)

The 3rd Women's Chess Olympiad took place in October 1966 in Oberhausen ( Federal Republic of Germany ).
The 17th 1966 Men's Chess Olympiad was also held in Havana in 1966 .

Overview

14 teams with a total of 41 players, including one IM (international men's master) and 21 international female champions, took part in the competition. The 14 teams played a round-robin tournament . The time to consider was two and a half hours for 40 trains, then one hour for 16 trains each time. The placement was determined based on the board points (BP), team points (MP) and a special Berger rating (SB). The venue was the newly built Oberhausen sports hall.
