The 7th Chess Olympiad took place from July 31 to August 14, 1937 in Stockholm ( Sweden ).

Overview

19 teams took part to determine the Olympic champion in a round-robin tournament . Germany was not represented this time. 94 players took part in the competition. The team tournament was played with four teams, with a substitute player was allowed. The Grand Hotel Royal in Stockholm was the venue. The time to consider was two and a half hours for 40 trains, then one hour for 16 trains each time. The placements were determined based on the board points (BP) and team points (MP).
