1969 Chess Olympiad

The 4th Women's Chess Olympiad took place from September 8 to 23, 1969 in Lublin ( Poland ).

Overview

15 teams with a total of 43 players, including one IM ( international men's master ) and 20 international champions, took part in the competition. The 15 teams played a round-robin tournament . The time to consider was two and a half hours for 40 trains, then one hour for 16 trains each time. The placement was determined based on the board points (BP), team points (MP) and a special Berger rating (SB).

The Olympics took place in the WOSiR sports halls (Aleje Zygmuntowskie 6). The chairman of the arbitration tribunal was Stefan Furs from Poland. Jerzy Pawłowski (Poland) was the secretary of the organizing committee. Tibor Flórián from Hungary acted as the main referee. Mieczysław Niewiadomski (Poland) was the tournament director.
