Machine factory from the 19th century to 1957. Technological and personnel predecessor of Henschel & Sohn in Kassel. Testimony to early industrialization. Denis Papin built the first steam cylinder here around 1706 . Robert Wilhelm Bunsen examined the blast furnace gases here in 1838.
