|
The Hospital of the Holy Spirit was built in 1344 and was used to receive poor and sick pilgrims who passed through. In 1853, a residential wing with 21 apartments for needy citizens was built on the grounds of the hospital through donations from residents of Neustadt. By merging two individual apartments, 10 modernized apartments were created in 1987, which are still inhabited by needy citizens of the city today. One apartment was left in its original state as a museum.
