624 Berlin street Water tower The 34 m high water tower was built from red brick in 1910. The shaft tapers upwards. Its masonry is interrupted by a few narrow, arched windows. At the top is a wreath of rectangular fields, four of which contain a small window, while the others are plastered. The protruding masonry surrounding the water tank is reinforced with iron framework. Narrow windows are set in four of the middle compartments. 3966 Eutiner Strasse 18 Chapel of St. George with furnishings The chapel dates back to an infirmary (Domus leprosum) established by the Lübeck bishop in 1258, the Schwartau infirmary for lepers. The infirmary, the residents of which were obliged to lead a monastic life, received a chapel in 1289. After the leprosy subsided, the infirmary fell into disrepair from the middle of the 15th century and was finally converted into a nursing home. 9996 Riesebusch 32 - 34 Mathias and Charlotte Jäde-Stift The Jäde-Stift, set up and operated on the basis of a foundation, was a unique institution in the Principality of Lübeck, from 1937 in the Eutin district and from 1970 in the Ostholstein district. With the establishment of apartments with kitchens in order to enable the residents to self-suffice, the Jäde-Stift was an early form of a facility that made assisted living possible.
