List of Ramsar areas in Antigua and Barbuda
Ramsar sites are closed after the 1971 Ramsar Convention protected areas for wetlands of international importance, according to the intention of the international international treaty in particular as a habitat for water and wading birds .
Antigua and Barbuda put the agreement into effect on October 2, 2005. So far (2014) only one area has been designated according to the Ramsar Agreement, with around 36 km², which covers almost 8% of the country's area.
