List of student associations in Mannheim

In Mannheim there are around ten active student associations that belong to different corporate associations. The University of Mannheim - founded in 1907 as a commercial college and elevated to university in 1967 - is one of the younger universities in Germany . The Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (FH) was created in 2006 through the merger of the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences - University of Technology and Design and the University of Applied Sciences for Social Sciences.
