List of Tallinn city leaders
Until 1786 and from 1796 to 1877, the Tallinn City Council was the collective head of the Estonian capital Tallinn (German Reval ).
During the Soviet occupation of Estonia (1940/41 and from 1944 to 1990), the chairman of the Executive Committee (Estonian Tallinna Töörahva Saadikute Nõukogu Täitevkomitee esimees , later Tallinna Rahvasaadikute Nõukogu Täitevkomitee esimees ) acted as city head .
Shortly before Estonian regained independence, the title of Tallinn Mayor was reintroduced in 1990.
