List of Bolivian ambassadors in China
The list of Bolivian ambassadors to China shows the ambassadors from 1986 until today.
At the end of June 1985, the Hernán Siles Zuazo government recognized Zhao Ziyang's government and on July 9, 1986 broke off relations with Taiwan .
The armed forces of Bolivia had decorated the ambassador Formosa, Eduardo Wong, with numerous medals and now offered him their protection. The commanders of the armed forces of Bolivia protested in a rude letter to Foreign Minister Edgar Camacho Omiste (born August 8, 1936 in Oruro ; † January 1, 2013), which triggered the final crisis of the Hernán Siles Zuazo government .
In May 1986, Foreign Minister Guillermo Bedregal Gutiérrez and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Guillermo Vélez Salmón, reached four agreements in Beijing:
- an agreement of economic and technical cooperation for the realization of agricultural and irrigation projects, with a ten-year interest-free loan and a line of credit of 20 million yen (6.5 million US dollars ).
- a protocol on economic cooperation.
- the development of the water supply in Cochabamba .
- a cultural agreement.
The Bolivian ambassador in Beijing is also regularly accredited to the governments in Hanoi and Bangkok .
The Bolivian Embassy is located at 2-3-2 Tayuan Diplomatic Office Building , Beijing .
