Hernán Siles Zuazo
Hernán Siles Zuazo (born March 21, 1914 in La Paz ; † August 6, 1996 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) was one of the most important politicians in his native Bolivia in the 20th century and ruled the country as president from 1956 to 1960 and from 1982 to 1985 From 1952 to 1956 he was Vice President.
He was the son of former Bolivian President Hernando Siles Reyes and devoted the rest of his life to politics after completing his law degree in the 1930s. It failed, among other things, because of the protests of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB), the umbrella organization of the Bolivian trade unions.
