The textile manufacture "Azyl" was established in 1723 for the production of fabrics, cotton fabrics, stockings and linen goods. The construction was arranged by the Gallas' manager Elias Ketzler. A pottery workshop for the production of clay bottles for Lázně Libverda was probably founded in 1812 in house number 67 . By 1850 the buildings were converted into apartments for the farm workers. From 1896 the complex was used to house the children of factory workers and in the interwar period as a Czech minority school. The building was one of the oldest surviving factories in Bohemia.
