The parish church of St. Stephen is probably the most important market church in Upper Austria in the Renaissance style. The single-nave, barrel-vaulted church with retracted, semicircular choir and tower with eight-sided onion dome and lantern presumably integrates a two-aisled, late Gothic church, which was expanded in the Renaissance style in the late 16th century. The church, on the western nave yoke of which two chapels were added at right angles, houses a uniform, baroque interior from the late 17th century. The painting on the main altar shows the stoning of St. Stephen.
