The nave of the parish church of Pichl was built at the end of the 17th century on medieval foundations with a low, retracted choir. The tower with onion helmet and lantern has a late medieval substructure.

The originally three-wing complex was badly damaged in a fire in 1750 and rebuilt in a modified form. The late baroque rectory consists of two tracts and a hook extension, with the east-facing tract having two floors, while the other parts of the building only have one and a half floors.

The Gothic choir with a 5/8 end and the simple nave with a saddle roof, which was hipped over the choir, date from around 1470 to 1480. The late Gothic sacristy was added around 1500. On the west side the chapel has a small roof turret with an onion helmet, inside it houses an altar with a figure of St. James from the second quarter of the 18th century.

While the choir of the branch church dates from around 1470, the nave walls could even date back to Romanesque times, which were re-vaulted in the middle of the 18th century. In addition to the high pitched roof, the roof turret with onion helmet is characteristic for the appearance of the church.
