The building, which was originally used as a brewery, was owned by the Lambach Abbey, but was privately owned as early as the 17th century. The complex was put together from different buildings and has several gables.

The former monastery brewery was probably built by Abbot Cölestin Baumgartner around 1900. In addition to the central brewhouse , all other buildings required for brewing, such as a malthouse , kiln , fermentation cellar and a towering chimney made of brick, also exist in the extensive facility . There were also apartments and offices in the property.

The monastery stands on a ridge that stretches from the Klosterplatz towards the east and slopes down towards the Traun behind the Lambach cemetery. The original facility from the 11th century was largely destroyed by the Bavarians in 1233. The collegiate church was restored and rebuilt from 1652 to 1656 in baroque style. The other parts of the complex were rebuilt through the construction work of three abbots in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The building, which probably dates from around 1600, has a facade from 1721, the facade of the ground floor being grooved and the upper floors of the three-story building accentuated with pilaster strips between the windows and the bay window. The conspicuous round bay window is supported by segment-arched Renaissance corbels that are scalloped below.

The cemetery church was founded around 1200 and re-consecrated with a cemetery in 1433. After a fire in 1741, the late Gothic, two-aisled hall church with an octagonal, partially Baroque-style choir and a Baroque-style tower was restored in 1743, but lost the status of a parish church in 1784.

The imperial house has a core that can be verified until 1660, an upper floor and a shingled facade on the ground floor as well as a basket arched gate with a late Baroque frame. The facade on the upper floor is structured by flat pilaster strips, the windows have a roof that curves upwards in the middle. While the furnishings are believed to date from 1786, two extensions were built more recently.

The ownership of the Prausenhaus is documented up to 1660, with the eight-axis building on the square with two upper floors and an attic with architecture from around 1730 to 1740.

The three-story Ludwigenhaus was made up of several buildings around 1730, which were built in the first half of the 17th century at the latest. The building with two and three axles facing the market square has a grooved ground floor, while the upper floors and the attic are combined by pilaster strips.

The Kalvarienbergkirche was built between 1707 and 1705 as a baroque central form with the ground plan of a Greek cross with short arms and a two-tower view side. The church has a twelve-sided, pyramidal dome and gable roofs over the cross arms.

Like the Calvary Church, the Holy Sepulcher Chapel was built on the slope below it at the beginning of the 18th century. It has a four-sided ridge turret with sound windows and a pyramid roof.

The Way of the Cross leads from the Stubengraben to the Kalvarienbergkirche. The first 10 stations were small chapels, but were replaced by wayside shrines with reliefs in the second half of the 19th century.

The Mariazeller Chapel from the second quarter of the 18th century is an elongated building east of the staircase to the Kalvarienbergkirche and was attached to the sacristan's house on the west side. It has a four-sided roof turret and an eight-sided onion helmet. The altar with a replica of the miraculous image of Mariazell dates from the middle of the 18th century.
