The church is raised a little above the village. The walls up to the height of the windows are still preserved from the late Gothic building. In the second half of the 17th century a baroque renovation took place. Around 1740 a chapel was added to the north and south.

The parish church was rebuilt in 1690 on a Gothic basis and expanded and re-vaulted in the 2nd quarter of the 18th century. It has a simply structured western front, a three-bay nave and a slightly raised choir. In the middle of the 18th century, an expansive organ gallery was built. The high altar and pulpit were removed during the last complete restoration.

The baroque chapel in front of the church dates from the end of the 17th century. It contains gloomy frescoes by Johann Scheucher from 1962.
