The list of German supply ships contains auxiliary ships of the Kriegsmarine and German navy designated as supply ships .

Navy

The supply ships of the Kriegsmarine mostly bore names of German landscapes:

  • Altmark ( launched 1937) , tanker and supply ship, February 1940 in Norway, from August 1940 Uckermark .
  • Dithmarschen ( launched 1937 ).
  • Warmia ( launched 1939 ), badly damaged on May 10 in the Bay of Biscay.
  • Franconia ( launched in 1939 ).
  • Kärnten ( launched in 1941 ), tanker and supply ship, captured in the Netherlands in 1940.
  • Samland , ex Hansa ( launched 1929 ), bought in 1937 and renamed.
  • Spichern , auxiliary supply ship ( launched 1935 ), captured in 1940 and renamed.
  • Westerwald ( launched 1937) , from November 1939 Nordmark .
  • Friedrich Breme (ship, 1936) ( launched 1936 ), fleet tanker, sunk June 4, 1941.

German Navy

A distinction is made between supply vessels and transporters for the supply ships of the German Navy .

Lüneburg class (class 701)
