Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi

Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi (* 1947 in Behringersmühle / Pegnitz ) is an expert and author on intercultural competence and diversity management .

Life

Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi comes from a refugee family and grew up as the oldest child of five children in southern Germany. She initially completed two vocational training courses. In 1968 and 1969 she worked first in Vietnam during the Vietnam War , then from 1970 to 1972 in Afghanistan .

Hecht-El Minshawi then studied philosophy , pedagogy , sociology and psychology at the University of Bremen and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD on the subject of intercultural relationships .

At the same time, she set up her Interkultur Institute from 1973 to offer intercultural qualification programs for internationally active management and specialist staff. She is an expert and author for intercultural and diversity competence.

Numerous activities abroad, intercultural cooperation with colleagues and research programs on cultural peculiarities in the following countries followed: USA , Canada , Iran , India , Vietnam, Malaysia , Singapore , Hong Kong , United Kingdom of Great Britain , Ireland , Spain , Australia , New Zealand , Egypt , Arabian Peninsula and North Africa .
