List of cargo cults

The list of cargo cults is based on various works (by Kenelm Burridge , Adolphus Peter Elkin , Peter Worsley , Friedrich Steinbauer and others) reproduced a list of various larger cargo cults in Melanesia .

The overview is by geographical areas - from west to east - divided: Western West New Guinea , eastern West New Guinea, the region Papua , the region around the Sepik , Madang Province , Morobe Province , the highlands of Papua New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago , Solomon Islands , Vanuatu ( New Hebrides ), New Caledonia and Fiji Islands .
