List of double-decker cars of the Deutsche Bahn
This list gives an overview of the double-decker cars of the Deutsche Bahn .
Only double-deck cars and their structural differences are listed, provided that the cars were used by Deutsche Bahn AG .
Legend
Explanation of the table headings:
- Type of construction: In order to distinguish between the different cars, they have been divided into types. A different number is assigned depending on the equipment. Some cars only differ in details. In this case, a substructure is assigned, e.g. B. 766.1 and 766.4
- Class: Depending on the equipment, different class and code letters are assigned. The meaning of the different letters results from the type designation system for passenger coaches
- V max : The permitted speed in km / h. All vehicles that are approved for 160 km / h are also equipped with a magnetic rail brake.
-
Entry: There are two different entry heights:
- The doors are installed on the transition level above the bogies for high access.
- For deep entry, they are arranged on the lower level next to the bogies.
- Doors: The doors of the trolleys delivered first are powered by compressed air. Compressed air is no longer necessary with the later models. An electric motor takes over the control.
-
Train destination display: There are three different types of train destination displays :
- First, so-called flip-dot displays were used. The first model was only single-line and relatively small. The next model was correspondingly larger. Black letters are used on a white background. The lighting is done by a fluorescent tube .
- This was followed by LCD displays. However, these displays have the disadvantage that they can hardly be read in direct sunlight. They also need to be continuously supplied with electricity.
- The current model is similar to the first. The lighting is now taken over by integrated LEDs and because of this combination of Flipdot and LED are also called BiLED . The writing is now yellow / green, on the latest cars also orange and with ticker on a black background.
- Seats : The number of seats in the car is stated, the address on the car is decisive. This may differ from the actual seats u. U. may differ slightly, as not all seats are taken into account for some cars. In 1st and 2nd class cars, the first number stands for 1st and the second number for 2nd class.
- Year of construction (s): The period in which these wagons were built is given. Some cars have been (partially) modernized or have been converted from other cars. In this case, the period of the renovation is indicated, recognizable by the year in italics.
- Number: The total number of vehicles built.
-
Special features: Special features are specified here that distinguish the wagons or are otherwise not common. a .:
- FIS: Depending on the design, the passenger information system is at different stages of development. The wagons delivered first only had train destination indicators on the outside. The first control cars already had voice memories for the stop announcements, which, however, still have to be triggered manually. Later, train destination displays were added in the passenger compartment, and in some series TFT screens were added to show the entire train route. In addition, emergency intercoms were installed in the cars that were delivered later, the stop announcement is already GPS- controlled for the associated control cars .
- ALS: External speakers were only installed in a few vehicles.
- MZA: Multi-purpose compartments are available especially for passengers with wheelchairs, strollers, bicycles and loads.
- SRA: For the Hanse-Express were seat reservation displays installed that are common otherwise only long-distance transport.
- LZB: Equipment for linear train control
