List of integrated circuits of the 74xx family
Below is a list of the logic family integrated circuits . The family was launched by Texas Instruments and contained integrated TTL circuits. Because of the popularity of these circuits, they were offered by other manufacturers with the same type designation. Compatible circuits from other manufacturers have also been incorporated into TI's product line.
overview
Some TTL circuits were manufactured with an extended military-specific temperature range - mostly in a ceramic housing . These circuits have 54 in the part number instead of 74.
Some manufacturers re-published 4000 series CMOS circuits with the prefix 74. The device 74HC4066 was e.g. B. a replacement for the CD4066, but had slightly different electrical properties (supply voltage, frequency response and resistances).
Conversely, the Series 4000 has also "borrowed" from the Series 7400 - such as B. CD40193 and CD40161, which are pin-compatible replacements for the 74C193 and 74C161. There is even evidence of double inheritance of type designations such as B. 74193 → 40193 → 74HC40193.
In some cases, such as B. the 7478 and 74107, the same suffixes in the different logic families do not have completely equivalent logic functions. There are also a few numeric suffixes that have several incomparable logic functions, such as the 74453.

Only the base numbers are listed in the table. However, many of the newer components were never manufactured using the standard TTL technology.

Single, double and triple gates
From the standard series with several identical gates, components were derived that only have one, two or three of the original gates in order to enable the use of more compact chip packages with fewer pins.
To identify the number of gates, a “1G” for only one single gate, “2G” for two gates and “3G” for three was added to the name of the circuit. The digits at the end of the part numbers usually correspond to those of the older standard series. In the part numbers, the "xx" is a placeholder for the logic family, e.g. B. "74AUG1G" or "74LVC1G".
In addition, there are multi-function gates that only exist as "1G" or "2G" variants, as they can represent the function of different logic links depending on the wiring and do not have a corresponding module in the standard series. These are:
- "74xx1G57" / "74xx1G97", "74xx1G58" / "74xx1G98" and "74xx1G99", as well as
- "74xx2G57" / "74xx2G97", "74xx2G58" / "74xx2G98"
