The Lister Glacier is an 8 km long and 1.5 km wide glacier in the northeast of the Brabant Island of the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows into Bouquet Bay , which it reaches immediately south of Duclaux Point .
The glacier appears nameless on an Argentine map from 1953. Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 and 1957 were used for mapping in 1959. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him on September 23, 1960 after the British medic Joseph Lister, 1st Baron Lister (1827-1912), the "father of antiseptic surgery ".
