The Hakodate Museum of Literature

The Hakodate Literature Museum ( Japanese 函館 市 文学 館 , Hakodate-shi Bungakukan ) was opened on April 1, 1993 in Hakodate on Hokkaidō . In particular, the museum keeps materials on writers who are or were related to the city of Hakodate. The collection is exhibited and currently includes around 250 exhibits, including about the poet Ishikawa Takuboku . In addition, autographs and manuscripts, for example the writers Katsuichirō Kamei and Jūran Hisao, are among the exhibits.
