The Little Churchill River is a right tributary of the Churchill River in Division No. 23 in the northeast of the Canadian province of Manitoba .
The river flows from Waskaiowaka Lake in a predominantly northeastern direction through the Canadian Shield to the Churchill River. At the point where the river drains the lake is the Little Churchill River / Dunlop's Fly In Lodge Aerodrome . The Little Churchill River leaves Waskaiowaka Lake at its northeast end, flows through the neighboring Hale Lake and continues its course to the east. It later turns to the northeast and flows past Pasketawakamaw Lake , whose water it receives on the right-hand side, and later flows through Recluse Lake . It now flows mainly north and eventually meets the lower reaches of the Churchill River. The Little Churchill River has a length of about 150 km.
The river is selected for canoe tours , which lead from Waskaiowaka Lake to the mouth of the Little Churchill River and on the Churchill River to Churchill and take just under 2 weeks.
