Little Miss Jocelyn is a British sketch show with and by Jocelyn Jee Esien . Esien slips into different roles and also performs skits with passers-by as hidden camera sketches .

Characters (selection)

  • Jiffy is a Nigerian police maid who hands out traffic tickets for normal activities (e.g. sleeping in the car). It often appears in the strangest objects, e.g. B. in a coffin at a funeral. She often explains why she does this and that she works for the Queen . Most skits end with this is going to take a loo-oo-oong time. (Eng. that will take a long time.).
  • Sheson is a Nigerian bus driver who insults her passengers in everyday situations and blames them for many things, even though these are legitimate. For example, she refuses a woman with her dog access to the bus, as the bus driver thinks it is like a sheep. She insulted two men as homosexual because they did not thank her for taking them on the bus. She regularly sings the song In The Name of Jesus .
  • Paulette is a young woman who always starts to scream and cry when she doesn't get what she wants.

reception

The first season was nominated for a BAFTA in the category Best Comedy Show. Esien has also been recognized for being the first black woman to have her own sketch show on British television.

After season 2, however, the show was named Worst Comedy Show of 2008 by the British Comedy Guide .

synchronization

For the German-speaking area, Sandra Schwittau took over the synchronization of all roles played by Esien. Nothing further is known about other synchronous roles.
