The Little Pine River is a river in the center of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river has its source on the western slopes of Clarks Timber , a mountain in the western part of the Central Plateau Conservation Area . From there it first flows southeast to Little Pine Lagoon directly on the Marlborough Highway (B11). It leaves the lake at the southwest end and flows southwest along the highway to its confluence with the Pine River about 2 km north of the Pine Tier Lagoon .
