The Little River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .
geography
The river rises about 100 kilometers west of Cairns on the northern slopes of Arringunna Mountain in the Atherton Tablelands , part of the Great Dividing Range . It flows north in many meanders and flows into the Hodgkinson River about five kilometers south of the settlement of Mount Mulligan .
