The Hodgkinson River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .
geography
River course
The river rises about 90 km west of Cairns in the Atherton Tablelands , part of the Great Dividing Range . It flows in many meanders to the northwest and flows into the Mitchell River between the settlements of Hurricane and Karma Waters .
