The Little Snake River is a 150 miles long tributary of the Yampa River in southwest Wyoming and northwest Colorado and is part of the Colorado River system . The Little Snake River is not navigable.
The Little Snake River has its source in the Routt National Forest in northern Routt County , Colorado. It then flows west along the Wyoming-Colorado border. In Moffat County , he's making a turn to the southwest. About 72 kilometers west of Craig in front of the Dinosaur National Monument , it flows into the Yampa River.
