The Little Vermilion Lake is a lake in Kenora District in the western Canadian province of Ontario .
Little Vermilion Lake is 15 miles north of Red Lake . The lake has a north-south longitudinal extension of 25 km and an area of 56 km². The lake is roughly divided into a northern and a southern lake basin. Little Vermilion Lake is located in a chain of lakes through which the Chukuni River flows from west to east. The Nungesser River , which drains the northern Nungesser Lake , flows into the northern end of the lake.
The lake is good for fishing, especially for pike and eyeglasses .
