The Litz Bluff is an icy cliff on Thurston Island before Eights Coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . In the Walker Mountains , it rises 3 km west of Mount Borgeson with ledges on the front .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 2003 after Martin Eugene Litz (* 1926), Navigator and the second pilot aboard a Martin PBM Mariner for creating aerial photographs of Thurston Island and the adjacent mainland coast as part of the US Navy carried out Operation Highjump (1946-1947).
