Liu Weiping

Liu Weiping ( Chinese  刘伟平 , Pinyin Liú Wĕipíng ; * May 1953 in Fujin , Heilongjiang Province ) is a politician in the People's Republic of China .

Liu studied aircraft construction from 1972 to 1976 at what was then the Nanjing Aviation Academy . From September 1998 to July 2001, he studied in addition to his regular occupation on the graduate program of the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (中央党校研究生院) economy .

From 1996 to 2001 he was the mayor of Nanchang . Subsequently, Liu was Vice Governor from 2001 to 2004 and Deputy Party Secretary of Qinghai Province from 2004 to 2006 .

From 2010, he was governor of Gansu Province , first managing director . At the same time, he was also deputy party secretary of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of China since 2006.

In April 2016, Lin Duo took over from these two posts . As a result, he was appointed Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences by the State Council .

He has been a candidate for the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party since 2007 .
