Joseph Liu Xinhong ( Chinese  刘 新 红 ; * 1964 in Wuhu , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Anqing .

Life

Joseph Liu Xinhong received on 18 November 1990, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In 2005 he was appointed Bishop of Anqing by the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association . Joseph Liu Xinhong received his episcopal ordination on May 3, 2006 . The Holy See had previously rejected the appointment due to his proximity to the Communist Party, which led him to renounce the episcopal ordination.
